public servers receive a 20% discount over private servers.

servers start launching immediately upon payment.

launching takes between 8 and 18 minutes.

note: if your server fails to show launch progress after 5 minutes, email billing@runroot.com for a refund. Sometimes servers get stuck when launching. Feel free to start another server if the first gets stuck (getting stuck rarely happens twice in a row).
